Lublin is a prominent city in Eastern Poland and the Lubelskie Province. Being the largest city east of the Vistula River and located just 160 kilometres from Poland’s capital, it is renowned as the “gateway to the East” and an essential centre for education and science.

The city’s iconic Krakow Gate has been standing for over six centuries, and a trumpeter plays a tune daily at noon. Additionally, there is a small museum dedicated to the city’s history. If you pass through the Krakow Gate, you will enter the Old Town, which is charming with its cobbled narrow streets, traditional architecture, and Renaissance burgher houses. With over 100 historic mansions and other buildings, this area is sometimes called “Little Krakow.” For a unique experience, you can try the underground tourist trail, which takes you through old wine cellars and shop basements from various points in the city’s history, providing a more intimate look at Lublin’s past and present ways of life.
