Bydgoszcz

Poland - Gdansk and the North

In Northern Poland, Bydgoszcz is a city on the Vistula and Brda rivers. It is the eighth-largest city in Poland and an important centre of commerce for the country.

One of the city’s highlights is its stunning waterfront and impressive Art Nouveau-style buildings. With its distinct charm and slower pace compared to larger cities, Bydgoszcz offers plenty to see and do. The city is also home to Poland’s largest city park, and even the urban areas boast abundant gardens and greenery, providing a perfect balance between city life and nature. A unique feature of Bydgoszcz is Mill Island on the Brda River, also called the “Bydgoszcz Venice.” The houses are situated so close to the water’s edge that they almost seem to be resting on it. This is a wonderful spot to enjoy some tea, coffee, or beer while taking in the atmosphere.
