Octant Douro is a hotel with a modern and daring design that sits in a valley protected by Unesco. The hotel is built in tiers to offer maximum views of the river. The pool is cantilevered above it, giving guests a floating feeling. The hotel has huge floor-to-ceiling windows, glass walkways, and wide terraces that were created to showcase the spectacular scenery. The hotel is also a spa, so guests are encouraged to walk around in their dressing gowns, but they should make sure to dress up for dinner at Raiva for an excellent meal. the room views are worth the stay and making it a favourite of ours.
