Road
Driving in Serbia can be fun and easy as long as you have the necessary documents with you. An International Driving Permit or IDP is a necessary document you will need when driving in foreign countries.

Air
Serbia has a number of domestic airlines that fly to various destinations around the country. Jat Airways, the most popular domestic airline, flies to Belgrade, Nis, and Vrsac.

Rail
Numerous international railway lines link Serbia with all parts of Europe and other Serbia towns and cities.

Ferry
Several companies run ferry services to domestic and international destinations.

 

Food

National dishes of Serbia include sarma (a mix of ground pork or beef with rice rolled in leaves of cabbage), gibanica (an egg and cheese pie made with filo dough), pljeskavica (a ground beef or pork patty), ćevapi (grilled meat), paprikaÅ” (a soup made of paprika), gulaÅ” ( soup of meat and vegetables usually seasoned with paprika and other spices) and Karađorđeva Å”nicla (a schnitzel). The national drink is rakia (various traditional fruit brandies).

Tap water in Serbia is safe for drinking in major cities.

 

Visas

On an Australian passport, You don’t need a visa for tourist visits of up to 90 days in a 6-month period.

 

Money

The currency of Serbia is the Serbian Dinar (RSD). Most banks in towns and cities have ATMs that accept international bank cards.
