Serbia - Oasis Highlights

There are so many highlights in this fascinating country that it is impossible to list them all here. Our travel consultants will discuss your interests and be able to put a specific itinerary together for you, but below are a few must seeā€™s!

Belgrade

Belgrade, situated at the confluence of the Sava and Danube rivers, has earned the titles of “the Gate of the Balkans” and “the Doors to Central Europe”. The city boasts a rich cultural and historical legacy showcased in its numerous museums, such as the National Museum, the Military Museum, the Museum of Contemporary Art, and the Nikola Tesla Museum.

Kraljevo

This city has a majestic name, originating from the Serbian word “kralj”, which means king. It’s in the heart of Serbia, where the Ibar and West Morava rivers meet. Visitors are drawn to its rich history, which is still evident throughout the city, and the many mountain resorts nearby and the surrounding area. Among the mountains near Kraljevo are Goč, Kopaonik, Golija, Troglov, Čemerno, Kotlenik, and Stolovi. Attending local events like the “Merry Race” down the river Ibar or the Lilac Days is highly recommended to grasp the city’s lively energy.

Novi Sad

The capital of Vojvodina, Serbiaā€™s northern province, will softly and effortlessly win you over with its laid-back vibe. Novi Sad is famously a city where nothing is rushed, and everything happens at its own leisurely pace, contributing to a relaxed atmosphere few large towns can boast. Places to relax are plenty ā€“ whether you wish to unwind on the banks of the Danube or enjoy a stroll along the cityā€™s streets, or you prefer nature and the views from the nearby FruÅ”ka Gora Mountain.
