WHY WE LIKE THIS HOTEL

Inspired by the elephant (Aliya), simplicity and luxurious surroundings the resort is made up of chalet type accommodation, suites and wooden chalets. All rooms are designed with a minimalistic concept and are spacious and comfortable without redundant decor. The wooden chalets are simple with all modern conveniences and set on wooden platforms with comfortable custom-made queen-size beds with thick mattresses. This area is completely private and for your exclusive use. There are a number of dining venues available that serve authentic Sri Lankan cuisine where meals are prepared in traditional clay pots on clay stoves. There is also a Chinese restaurant and coffee shop and bar. The Spa offers traditional holistic Ayurvedic treatments including herbal oil body and head treatments, facials, herbal steam bath, herbal bath, foot treatment/reflexology as well as free meditation and yoga sessions. A beautiful infinity swimming pool overlooks the vast greenery, the Sigiriya Rock Fortress and the Pidurangala Rock. Modern, contemporary and a little quirky is how we’d describe this great little resort. Parts are quite stark with use of polished concrete and others green and natural. The main reason we recommend, easy – the fabulous unique view to Sigiriya Rock Fortress!
