Located in the Ć ngermanland province of northeastern Sweden, the High Coast is a UNESCO World Heritage site for its stunning landscape, including its distinctly red NordingrĆ„ granite cliffs and rocks.
The area includes guided safaris to see wild bears or beavers, kayaking to explore the archipelago, fishing, horseback riding, and coastal cycling and hiking. Visitors can also visit VƤstanĆ„fallet nature reserve to see Sweden’s second-highest waterfall, which stands at 90 meters. The High Coast is also known for its unique delicacy, fermented herring, celebrated with the surstrƶmming premiere in August.
