The up-and-coming island of Koh Lanta is actually a cluster of 52 islands. Here budget bungalow complexes on the best beaches are making way for a handful of hip and stylish hotels. The area is very quiet and offers fabulous beaches and a backdrop of fertile green mountains that are home to monkeys and other wildlife.
One of the many key reasons for visiting besides relaxing in one of the worlds most beautiful places is its close proximity to some of Thailand’s finest dive sites. For none divers the snorkelling is also some of the best in Asia or, even for none swimmers, just taking a boat trip to anyone of the nearby islands is a great way to unwind.
Koh Jum is a small paradise island located between Krabi, Koh Lanta and Phi Phi islands in the area referred as Andaman Triangle or Turquoise Triangle. The views from the island are some of the best in the region as are the unspoiled beaches. Koh Jum is very sparingly populated, home to just three small fishing villages and a total population of less than 1000.
Koh Lanta is generally accessed by boat from either Phuket or Krabi.
