Eratap beach resort is less than 20 minutes drive south east of Port Vila. Situated on the most seaward peninsula of Eratap, six km off the main round island road, just 30 minutes from Port Vila’s international airport making for an easy transition between aircraft and your villa. Facing north west the resort is protected from the brunt of the trade winds and is perfectly positioned to watch the sun set at any time of the year. The resort peninsula forms a natural divide between the ocean and lagoon providing direct access to either waves or still waters. With three private beaches, lagoon waterways and offshore islands to explore, the beauty of Eratap is absolutely unrivalled.
The selection of villas and villa types means that even though small the resort can offer something for almost everyone from romantic private pool villas to 2 or 3 bedroom family villas. All villas are beachfront and all have outdoor showers, sun decks and sun loungers, all the facilities you would expect from a five star resort with separated living and sleeping areas. Pool, gym, spa, bicycles, SUPs, bicycles, tennis court, Petanque Court, snorkelling gear, fishing and two boats that will drop and pick up at local islands – and best of all, all this is free of charge. There are also a number of paid tours and excursions you can book locally through the reception.
The restaurant is superb, with lounge areas, bar, open verandah and terrace; it is a great place to watch the day unfold or the sunset of an evening. Enjoy a pre dinner drink, dine under the stars on the terrace or kick off your shoes and have a meal on the beach.
The Chef will create a daily selection of local and international cuisine prepared using the freshest locally grown produce. Sample Vanuatu’s famous organic beef, fresh lobster or the superb flesh of the deep sea “poulet” fish. Enjoy organic fruit and vegetables grown in the red volcanic soil of Vanuatu. Select from a wide range of fine Australian, New Zealand and French wines or sample the island cocktails. For a more intimate occasion have dinner by candlelight on your villa deck or your beach side lounge pavilion.
