Situated 55kms west of Hanoi, Ky Son is an authentic Vietnamese village, home to around a hundred farming families.
Visiting Ky Son and the Moon Garden Homestay is a wonderful chance for travellers to enjoy many activities that provide a deeply authentic Vietnam experience. Cycling is an important part of the tour to Moon Garden homestay (there are bicycles with kids seats for the younger guests – cycling is easy level on flat paths with no traffic). You can ride through the village, pass through the small paths to see the green field, visit the temple and pagoda. You also can visit the local kindergarten and even have chance to working on the farm as a true farmer: grass cutting, harvesting, picking veggies and fishing etc.
Travellers can join in cooking traditional foods of Vietnam such as spring rolls or leaf wrapped beef rolls. After activities, relax at hand spa and steam bath with fragrant herbs like lemon grass, pomelo leaves, holy basil leaves and in the mornings join in Yi Jinjing – a traditional exercise.
