WHY WE LIKE THIS HOTEL

There is so much to admire about this secluded resort. Firstly, it’s eco credentials are first class and the project was constructed with a unique building method: totally hand-crafted earthwork and thatch rooves under the guidance of craftsmen from three minority groups of Mai Chau. 90% of staff are local people who provide insightful tours and visits to neighbouring villages and are offered fair wages and health benefits. Water is purified onsite, and powers the hotel’s turbines; single-use plastics have been banned; and there are LED bulbs and light-sensors throughout.
A good selection of room types cater to most cases including families. The kid’s club is available for children 3 – 12 years old. Rooms are bright and airy with lots of local touches. The spa is first class using herbology and traditional healing methods, and fragrant natural oils are prepared in the dedicated herbal room. Dining is first class – all in all Avana is the best of the best in this remote corner of Vietnam. Spend at least 3 nights to really benefit….
