This is our top luxury pick in Saigon. The Park Hyatt is in an excellent location, in the heart of the city overlooking the Opera House and whilst it is a new building, it has been designed with a character in keeping with the colonial feel of the city and has a cool, relaxed ambience.
Rooms are spacious and as you would expect from Park Hyatt, tastefully appointed. For extra space, we recommend one of the Park Suites featuring a spacious separate living area and great views, some featuring direct access on to the pool area. The bathrooms feature sumptuous products and have a separate rain shower, a small but excellent feature for relaxing after a day of sightseeing.
The spa and pool area is set in the central courtyard of the hotel, which provides a pleasing view for rooms located with this aspect and a city-resort feel which is rare in big city hotels.
Whilst Saigon offers some excellent dining options outside of your hotel, the restaurants at the Park Hyatt are exceptional. We love Square One, which offers a series of open kitchens with an amazing display of local ingredients.
This is certainly a hotel that offers discreet luxury with exceptional service – no wonder it was Brangelina’s choice on their visit to Vietnam!
