Phan Thiet

Vietnam - Vietnamese Beaches

The quiet fishing town of Phan Thiet has a colourful harbour full of boats and a bustling market but the main reason to visit this area is for the fine beaches on the Mui Ne peninsula, which stretch for more than 16 kilometres.

Situated just a 2.5 hour drive from Ho Chi Minh City on the new highway (2023), the peninsula is host to a number of small, quiet, charming resorts. The micro climate in this region makes it one of the countries driest places and an ideal beach break away from the humidity and hustle and bustle of Saigon or the Mekong Delta. As well as the fascinating red coloured sand dunes Phan Thiet is also home to an engaging Nick Faldo designed golf course.
